Sailing Day Retreat

Saturday 22nd June 2024

Sailing | Wild swimming | Movement and meditation

£165 per person

Back for a second year, join us as we sail away for the day on the Edith May, a beautifully restored Thames Barge. We will leave Whitstable in the morning, sailing over to the iconic Elmley Nature Reserve for lunch and a wild swim, before sailing back to Whitstable for around 5.30pm. Please note that the schedule and destination may change with tides and wind.

A day for adventurers, help sail the boat (no previous experience necessary) or just sit back and watch the world go by. There will be times to pause in meditation and also movement to shift stale energy and help you open to it all. Last year we had a silent disco in the middle of the estuary - it was epic and you can expect something similar this year.

There’ll be wild swimming, possibly seals, nature in abundance and if you are lucky, we’ll get to jump off the boat again. It really will be a day of full JOY.

Rough itinerary

Setting sail from Whitstable at around 9.30, we’ll pop up the sails hopefully (wind dependent) and cruise to Elmley Nature Reserve, stopping along the way to look for seals! We will anchor up off Elmley, for lunch, wild swimming and some form of movement class - possibly a silent disco!

We’ll haul up anchor after lunch and cruise home to Whitstable for around 5.30 pm.

Please note this itinerary may completely change and we will work with the tides and the weather on the day to give you the best possible experience.

No previous sailing experience necessary. There is some physical activity in getting in and off the boat.
